How the funding works.
Skills for Care has been commissioned by the Department of Health and Social Care to develop a specification for the new accredited Care Certificate.
The DHSC is making £53.91m of funding available to eligible employers, to support 37,000 people working in direct adult care to complete the qualification between June 2024 and March 2025. The programme also aims to bring thousands of new people into care.
