In our latest Care Certificate guide, we outline the support you can expect from FuturU throughout your learning journey.
From resources that’ll help you get started on the right foot and assessments that’ll allow us to tailor the support and guidance we provide to your unique needs, through to your FuturU support network of mentors, assessors and learner coordinators, here’s how we’ll support you.
Before you get started
Resources
We understand the importance of having a solid foundation. That’s why we’ll equip you with the following essential resources before you dive into your learning:
Learner handbook: This comprehensive guide introduces you to FuturU’s learning platform, the qualification standards, and our approach to successful learning.
Qualification specification: This document details the structure, aims and assessment criteria for the qualification and its units.
Onboarding module: Our user-friendly onboarding module gets you acquainted with the FuturU app, ensuring you can maximise your learning experience. The module walks you through navigating the app, booking assessments, applying for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and accessing additional support.
Don’t forget, you can revisit these resources any time you like during your learning journey.
Initial assessment
Before you start learning, you’ll complete an initial assessment with your assessor online. Your assessor will ask you to rate your existing knowledge and skills from 1 to 10 based on a series of statements, and you’ll need to give reasons for your ratings.
This process helps us understand your knowledge, skills and experience so we can tailor our support and guidance to you, and identify where Recognition of Prior Learning can be applied to your assessment plan.
During your studies
Online learning
FuturU’s online learning platform equips you with all the knowledge and skills you need to obtain the Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate qualification and excel in your adult social care role.
It’s really important that you make the most of the online learning resources available. This includes engaging and interactive courses as well as knowledge checks to provide a theory level understanding of all the standards that are covered in the qualification.
The courses will guide you through the standards as if you were on a shadow shift, meeting and caring for our collection of FuturU characters. Characters include Ramin and Nurse Vicki, your expert guides, who’ll provide crucial information and feedback on your knowledge checks.
