Faces of FuturU: Sam Clements, Sales Executive

A selfie of Sam

We’re excited to introduce you to one of the newest members of the FuturU team, Sales Executive Sam Clements.

If you haven’t met Sam already, you may well do so soon – Sam is the first point of contact for anyone considering our products or services, and is on hand to support our existing customers and training partners too.

In this Faces of FuturU article, Sam outlines his career story to date, and shares what excites him most about the future of FuturU.

Over to you, Sam.

Tell us about your role at FuturU.

I work as the Sales Executive here at FuturU, and I’ll be one of the first faces you’ll see when you reach out to us about our products and services – from Social Care Learning and qualifications, all the way through to wellness and End-Point Assessments. I’m on hand to support you and assist with all things FuturU.

Can you tell me about your career before joining FuturU?

I studied Journalism at university in Leeds, before entering the professional world. Starting out in executive search recruitment before Covid, I then got the opportunity to move into the education sector, working for an apprenticeship provider. After an internal promotion to NHS Lead, I supported the NHS on their apprenticeships nationally. In my next role I worked with enterprise clients for a global training organisation, managing learning for the United Nations and other intergovernmental organisations.

I spent much of 2023 and 2024 travelling around the world, visiting 22 countries before joining FuturU in December 2024. I feel very lucky to have seen so many amazing places, and to be joining an exciting organisation like FuturU.

What does a typical day look like for you?

There is no typical day – every day is different, and that’s one of things I like about this role. I’m always speaking to new people, building partnerships or collaborating with the team on projects. I’ll often be on the phone or in meetings, talking to our existing and prospective clients.

What motivates you to do a great job?

The opportunity to make a real difference to people’s lives, and improve the care sector. By giving care professionals the opportunity to learn and maximise their potential is really exciting for me.

Aside from that, I’m both intrinsically and extrinsically motivated to be the best version of myself. I want to achieve what I can professionally for both me and my family.

What brings you joy at work?

Speaking to new people everyday and having the opportunity to make a difference while improving lives through our products. I really enjoy working for an organisation where everyone is pulling in the same direction and working collaboratively. It’s been a joy to work with my colleagues so far!

One of FuturU’s values is ‘Always Learning’ - what have you learned since you joined us?

Having not worked in the care sector before, I’m constantly learning every day about the challenges care professionals and organisations face. I’m really proud and excited to be part of the team helping more than 100,000 care professionals to progress in their career, build skills and confidence, and improve the quality of care they provide.

What would you say to anyone thinking about working with FuturU?

I think one thing that really stands out is our passion for and commitment to building real and long-lasting partnerships with the care organisations, apprenticeship providers and NHS Trusts we work with.

To really understand what sets us apart I’d encourage getting in touch with me on samclements@futuru.ai. Whatever your challenges and goals, we’d love to have a conversation with you and explore how we can support you!

What excites you most about the future of FuturU?

The fact that we can make a positive impact on the lives of so many people who are working in the care sector, and in turn the lives of the people they care for. The bigger we grow, the bigger the impact we can have on the sector – I’m really excited about that.
