2024 was an extraordinary year for us here at FuturU. We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together with our amazing community of learners, customers and partners.
From our ever expanding course library and new qualifications, to a growing inner wellness offering and fresh apprenticeship standards, we’ve made some significant steps in shaping the future of healthcare education this year.
Let’s dive into some of the highlights of 2024…
A thriving community
Our learning community continued to thrive this year, surpassing the 100,000 milestone. That’s right – more than 100,000 health and social care professionals are now building their skills and confidence with FuturU.
The quality of our courses was evident in an exceptional average course rating of 9.1 out of 10, while our Net Promoter Score (NPS), which measures customer loyalty and satisfaction, stands at an impressive 71. A huge thank you to everyone who has taken the time to share their feedback with us this year – you’re helping us shape the future of FuturU.
Our learning platform is super easy to access and use, anytime and anywhere, but for those needing a little support our team was on hand. Ant, Kris and Lawrence tackled 5,806 queries this year, achieving a User Support Customer Satisfaction Score of 95%.
An ever expanding library
We expanded our course library with 16 new courses launched this year, covering everything from Stoma Care and Fluids & Nutrition through to Cyber Security in Care and Freedom to Speak Up. All our courses exceed mandatory CQC requirements, are Skills for Health aligned and Skills for Care endorsed, and most are CPD-accredited too.
And we’re not stopping there – LGBTQIA+ Awareness in Care, Menopause Awareness and Sexual Harassment/Assault in the Workplace are just a few of the courses landing in the new year.
Building skills and confidence with FuturU
Our learners dedicated over 30,000 hours each month building skills and confidence with FuturU, and completed a whopping 255,434 courses in total – impressive stuff!
Learning wasn’t confined to our platform though – over 2,500 learners registered to attend our webinars this year, covering everything from inner wellness, through to the Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate and leadership skills. And we launched the Care Leaders Boot Camp, a five week email based programme for aspiring and experienced care managers.
Almost 2,000 apprentices supported
We’re honoured to have supported 1,851 apprentices through their End-Point Assessments this year.
On average, learners rate their EPA experience with us a 4.8 out of 5 – testament to all the hard work our fantastic assessors and the wonderful people who make up our quality and operations teams do to support apprentices through their assessments.
We launched two new standards this year – Level 3 Business Administration and Level 3 Team Leader or Supervisor EPAs – bringing the total number to six.
We’ve got plenty planned for 2025 too, with Level 5 Operations or Departmental Manager and Level 5 Operations Manager standards launching soon, subject to Ofqual approval.
New qualifications
One of our biggest achievements this year was the launch of our Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate. As both the awarding organisation and training provider, we’ve pioneered a new approach to healthcare education, providing a comprehensive and flexible pathway for organisations and learners to gain an essential qualification.
And we’ve taken an innovative story-led approach to the qualification’s learning content, blending all learning outcomes into immersive scenarios to empower learners with practical skills and knowledge that’s actually applicable to real world caregiving.
Alongside the Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate, we’ve also launched FuturU’s first Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) – the Social Services and Healthcare at SCQF Level 6 – and a Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA).
Prioritising wellbeing
Wellbeing remained a core focus for us in 2024. Our inner wellness webinars, hosted by resident wellbeing expert Suhail Mirza, proved extremely popular. Sessions are available to watch back on-demand, alongside our Inclusive Inner Wellness course modules, which can be accessed via the FuturU learning platform.
We also shared a wide range of practical tips on stress management, nutrition and sleep over on our blog. And we were excited to partner with healthcare organisations across the UK to deliver our Inclusive Inner Wellness webinars, including the Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust and Northern Ireland Social Care Council.
Recognising our achievements
If you couldn’t already tell, we’re super proud of everything the FuturU team has achieved in 2024. But it is wonderful to see our innovative and immersive training solutions, as well as the team who work so hard to create them, getting the recognition they deserve from others.
We were honoured to be named Education & Training StartUp of the Year in London at the UK StartUp Awards, and to be shortlisted for three Learning Technologies Awards in the Excellence in the Design of Learning Content – Commercial Sector (UK) category.
Honestly though, the feedback that means the most to us comes from our incredible learning community. We loved talking to so many of you about your FuturU story this year. Thank you for helping others discover our healthcare training, which is 100% free for learners.
A big thank you
Whether you’ve completed a FuturU course or End-Point Assessment with us, signed up to a webinar, said hi at a show, or partnered with us, we’re really grateful to have you on this journey. You’ve helped us make 2024 a truly remarkable year!
And we’ve got big plans for 2025 – new courses, fresh EPA standards and learning plans are all coming your way very soon.
In the meantime, from all of us at FuturU, we’d like to wish you a very happy end to the year, and an even better start to 2025.
